You can choose to take a five day course at one of their locations, or a distance learning course that can be completed at home. The cost for the five day course is $895, while the cost for the home study course is $795. Upon successful completion of either course you will receive your certification and be listed in the directory.

There are plenty of other courses out there from which you can choose. Some of them may cost less than the ACPWC course, and some may cost more. When it comes to prestige and quality, the ACPWC is the top of the heap and should be at the top of every prospective wedding planner's list. You may wonder if it is worth the hefty price tag to take such a course. Most of the time, the answer is yes. Certification tells prospective clients that you are fully qualified to handle their wedding plans.

You may be wondering how much planners make. Although it depends on many different factors, the average reported salary is approximately $51,000. For many people in the U.S., this is a good annual salary. Many wedding planners make much more, while many make much less. How much you will make depends on how many clients you have, how much you charge and how much it costs to run your business. Wedding planner and certification resources can be found all over the Internet and can help you decide whether pursuing this type of career is the best choice for you.
