There is no specific education needed to become a wedding planner. Most people start off by working for another wedding consultant, or some part of the wedding industry. This is usually a great way to get your feet wet. The more you can learn about wedding planning before you start out on your own, the better off you will be. There are also books, CD’s, on line courses, and certification programs that you can use as resources for becoming a wedding planner.

More and more couples today are enlisting the help of a wedding coordinator to help plan their weddings. Couples today have very busy schedules and the need to hire help with their wedding is ever increasing. The amount of wedding grows more and more with each passing year. This continuous growth leaves the market for eager wedding planner opportunities wide open.
